Straight flat roads = good

I managed to get a bit of embroidery done in the car on our way to NYE/NYD celebrations. I now have achey muscles from attempting odd flexibility challenges while under the influence. It was fun. :)

Counting down...

Yesterday I suddenly realised that I have about 20 days total to finish The Embroidery. Eek! It needs to be in at Linden on January 24, and it needs to be framed before then. Can I do it? Who knows. Here's what I've accomplished in the last two days anyway. I know Wayne looks a little frightening in his eye-sockety-ness, but you get that. :)

I <3 Stitch'n'Bitch Nation

Here's is my Basic Cable -- I made it for my dad for Christmas. Except he doesn't have it yet...

I used a different yarn than the pattern calls for (I got it for free from my mother... I think she bought it in 1983 to make a jumper that never got finished for my little brother!) I also added an extra six rows of ribbing at the bottom so I could have a folded-up brim, and added an extra round of the cable pattern before starting the decreases to make the hat longer.

Cassie's Skirt

Here's Cassie's skirt finished. Due to crazy people coming out in their masses to shop at post Christmas sales, I haven't had a chance to finish or photograph anything else yet.

Today is my last day at work for the week, so hopefully I'll have some more stuff up soon...
